We areseeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery PA or NP to join a dedicatedsurgical team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on a locum tenens basis. This is anexcellent opportunity to work in a collaborative cardiovascular and thoracicsurgery environment providing care across the continuum-from pre-operativeassessment to post-operative management.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Assist in CVTS procedures in the operating room
- Manage pre-op and post-op patients in both ICU and step-down units
- Perform procedures such as chest tube placement/removal, wound care, and invasive line management
- Conduct daily patient rounds, enter orders, and collaborate closely with attending surgeons
- Support all aspects of inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic surgical care

- Operating Rooms Dedicated to CVTS: 3
- EMR Systems Used: Epic & Cupid
Requirements:
- Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Active Florida license
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Prior experience in cardiothoracic surgery required
- Strong familiarity with surgical post-op management and ICU protocols
