Brown & Brown is Seeking an experienced Surety Account Manager to join our team in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The Surety Account Manager will be part of the Surety team and will retain and grow business by providing surety bond support in servicing and managing client and prospective client relationships and accounts through collaborating with team members to achieve client satisfaction.
How You Will Contribute: - Prepare new bonds, renewal bonds, continuation letters, etc. for bond manager's review
- Validate bond forms and premiums changed, endorsements, audits and cancellations
- Enter all required data into agency management system to maintain current file data on all assigned clients
- Maintain client files per agency guidelines; properly document all conversations and confirm to insured all actions taken at their request
- Review applications, financial statements, renewal requests and endorsements for adherence to underwriting authority and guidelines as established by our surety partners
- Prepare renewal letters to send to clients as well as renewal submissions for marketing efforts
- Present or co-present renewal options to clients
- Prepare and enter into system premium billings and invoices on a timely basis
- Reconcile agency bill items for clients as necessary to collect premium
- Develop and maintain working relationships with underwriters and surety representatives
- Maintain knowledge of various surety markets, products, ratings, etc.
- Assist in correspondence between client and surety for any losses on bonds
- Develop and maintain favorable working relationships with clients, producers and other B&B offices
- Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of surety bonds, forms, statutes, etc.
- Perform clerical functions including but not limited to submitting and sending faxes, proofreading and photocopying documents
Licenses and Certifications: Skills & Experience to Be Successful - 3 - 5 years of experience in surety bond industry
- Strong technical knowledge of surety bond industry
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, projects, and people
- Attention to detail
- Positive attitude, team player
- Experience with personal computer and related software (MS Office)
- Strong math skills
Preferred - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a business or financial related discipline
