What you will do? As the Family Support Worker you will serve as an important part of a service delivery team that works to help achieve reunification with parents and children and maintain that unification. This position will provide opportunities for families to have meaningful family contacts with one another and identify critical formal and informal supports to families that can provide support on an ongoing basis and assist the family in removing barriers to maintain family unification. Specific responsibilities include: Schedule appointments and meetings. Provide transportation assistance with valid drivers license and insurance Supervise family interactions Supervise sibling interactions Identify tools, resources and/or supports within the community Advocate for children/families referred to FCS services Telephone contacts with the parent(s)/adult(s) in the case Work with Family Support Specialists and Intervention Specialists assigned to the case and work as a cohesive team member providing case supervision Be trained in and demonstrate skills in family interaction and capable observation documentation during sibling and family interaction What you need: To qualify you must be at least 21years of age and possess a High School diploma or GED. Prior education or experience related to social services is preferred but, not a requirement.
