RedRock Recruitment require experienced support workers for weekend & Evening work in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.

Role and Responsibilities

The role will be working alongside our day-service, where we provide support to our clients. Most our clients are young adults who join us after they finish their education. We offer a friendly and safe environment for our clients to expand and develop new skills, meet new friends and visit new places. We have daily activities, either centre-based or in the community.

Our Respite service is in our onsite cabin for overnight stays at weekends. Staff will be required to participate in daily activities and support clients with daily routines. Your duties will be varied, and no two days will be the same.

The Role:

  • To transport and support clients to and from various venues for a range of activities
  • Complete paperwork for the clients you support, including daily notes and risk assessments.
  • Daily tasks will include, engaging in all activities with clients, promoting independence and

supporting clients to achieve personal goals. Keeping the centre clean and supervising clients in the community.

  • Working hours range from 6-12 hours. Night shifts are waking nights.

The Candidate:

  • A and Autism is required.
  • Must have held a Full UK manual driving license for at least 2 years
  • Excellent communication skills is caring, safety risk aware, responsive, effective, reliable,

punctual, organized, have flexibility and adaptability.

  • Willing to learn new skills and to develop current knowledge
  • Helping staff at Live A Little with ideas to grow the business

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 14.00- 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Experience:

  • working with clients with learning disabilities and Autism: 2 years (preferred)

Language:

  • English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
  • DBS (preferred)
