Shift: Green Shift, last 2 days, Blue Shift first 2 days


Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off

Job summary - What to expect:

As a Support Controls Engineer, you will be part of an experienced team. You will provide controls expertise, support in breakdowns, and work closely with Machine Operators, Maintenance, and IT. You will also support the development of engineering support departments through coaching, training, and mentoring.


This role involves working in a regulated environment conforming to ISO13485, ISO14971, etc., with familiarity in Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems, medical device/pharmaceutical standards, FDA, GAMP, ISO, and international regulations. You will work in various areas including manufacturing, machining, workshops, and clean rooms, requiring appropriate protective clothing.


Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
  • Provide controls support to identify and rectify breakdowns
  • Improve control systems through root cause analysis and continuous improvement plans
  • Maintain Software Change Control logs
  • Support OEE data collection configuration and support
  • Coach, mentor, and train colleagues in control systems
  • Assist in designing, implementing, validating, and supporting control systems for new processes and changes
  • Maintain good communication to ensure improvement plans are followed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Understanding of QA and QC systems, medical device/pharmaceutical standards, FDA, GAMP, ISO
  • Experience with Manufacturing Process Systems, interfaces, and software validation
  • Proficiency in PLC, SCADA programming (RSLogix500, Studio5000), and safety systems
  • Experience with HMI applications, networks, SQL, VBA, and OEE

About you:

Candidate should prioritize customer needs, multitask in a 24/7 environment, and build relationships across departments.


Experience & Education:
  • ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic/Controls
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role
  • Proven experience with SCADA and PLC controls
  • Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing
