JOB SUMMARY

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Receives, stores, and issues uniforms, equipment, materials, forms, supplies, packages, and compiles stock records in warehouse.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to comprehend and communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- U.S. Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card.
- Clean criminal history; any arrest history will be individually evaluated.
- No illegal drug usage within the past year. Other drug usage will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must have valid Florida driver's license.
- Must attend and successfully complete the agency sponsored Law Enforcement Vehicle Operations (LEVO) Training if assignment includes driving agency vehicle. Use of agency vehicle would require appropriate driving history and passing agency biennial driver's physical exam.
- Must successfully complete Forklift Certification training provided through the agency if assignment includes operating an agency forklift.
- Ability to maintain office records/files and detailed inventory of agency property. Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventories of uniforms, equipment, and supplies. Prepare reports as needed.
- Ability to issue uniforms, equipment and supplies from stock to agency personnel according to agency policy and procedures. Receive uniforms, equipment, and supplies returned from agency personnel. Receive, log, and secure packages and equipment; notify the appropriate personnel of receipt.
- Ability to compile reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustment of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
- Ability to write requisitions for orders. Coordinate shipping and receiving of packages and large freight with vendors and commercial carriers. Pack and unpack items.
- Ability to create and complete routine correspondence, memorandums, reports, and other documents as directed, to include accident and incident reports.
- Ability to assist in tagging property and equipment. Prepare agency property for disposal.
- Ability to assist in performing on-site inventory of fixed assets throughout agency. Work with agency personnel to locate missing items and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to move or transport material or supplies to other departments. Operate equipment such as fork lifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and shrink wrappers. Verify proper functioning of supply vehicles, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lift truck equipment.
- Ability to make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock.
- Ability to perform cleaning of both indoor and outdoor areas of the warehouse.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak before small groups of agency employees.
- Must have basic computer skills to include word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Must have the ability to learn specialized department software and its applications.
- Must have the ability to follow statutory and safety guidelines.
- Must have customer service skills and the ability to maintain working relationships with vendors, delivery persons, the public, and agency personnel.
- Must have the ability to safely handle weapons including firearms, chemical weapons, and electronic control devices.
- Must maintain strict accountability of all items identifying personnel as members of law enforcement.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. May be required to work different hours/shifts, including possible weekends, to meet operational necessity.
