The Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the purchasing, supply planning, and inventory departments to ensure production processes are running smooth and efficiently to meet customer deadlines.

Description

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the following:

• Procurement & Sourcing

  • Find reliable suppliers for raw materials and components.

  • Negotiate contracts and prices.

  • Ensure materials meet quality standards.

• Inventory Management

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels-enough to meet production, but not so much that it ties up cash or storage space.

  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.

• Production Planning

  • Coordinate with production teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules.

  • Make sure everything needed for production (materials, labor, equipment) is ready on time.

• Logistics & Distribution

  • Oversee the transportation of raw materials to the factory and finished goods to customers or distribution centers.

  • Work with shipping companies, warehouses, and internal logistics teams.

• Supplier & Vendor Relations

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability.

  • Manage risks such as supply disruptions or price volatility.

Profile

The successful candidate will be coming from the manufacturing industry and will have strong leadership skills to ensure supply chain processes are meeting demand forecasts. In addition, they will have a strong purchasing background including experience with strategic sourcing and managing supplier relationships.
