Supply Chain Manager
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for strategic and operational execution of the Materials and Supply Chain organization (purchasing) to support American BOA and BOA Group. This includes the management for programs and pursuits, the development and implementation of strategies to meet business performance expectations, and the accomplishment of Supply Chain continuous improvement goals and initiatives. This is a highly visible role and candidate must be comfortable with interacting with persons at all levels of the organization, as well as customers and external auditors. Additional responsibilities include leading the organization in the development and implementation of procurement, subcontract and material objectives, supply chain policy and procedures, and execution of business strategies.
This role oversees initiatives resulting in the continuous improvement of the Supply Chain through cost reduction, quality improvement, uninterrupted material supply, and lead-time reduction. This individual is ultimately responsible for strict adherence to BOA ethics, internal controls and ensuring government compliance. This position reports to Managing Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic and tactical operational execution of the supply chain and materials organization
Responsible for analyzing and interpreting regulatory requirements and determining how they apply to the Supply Chain. Regulatory requirements include ITAR, EAR, and FAR/DFARS.
Supply chain staffing, development and implementation of strategies to meet key performance expectations and continuous improvement goals
Collaborating with business development, program management and engineering to ensure early supply chain involvement in proposal and design efforts.
Ability to exercise sound judgement and model a high degree of personal accountability, professionalism and discretion
Lead organization in development/implementation of strategy for procurement, subcontracts/material, and other supply chain related areas.
Strong analytical skills, as well as highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required
Oversee initiatives resulting in the continuous improvement of supply chain through cost reduction, quality improvement and lead-time reduction
Ensure accurate, efficient, and inventory management processes and controls
Create supply chain strategies to meet division business plan and objectives
Develop compliant processes and achieve United States Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)/ Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance
Strong business acumen
Proven experience in attracting, developing and retaining a diverse workforce
Strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrate a proactive approach to managing workload in a fast-pace environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management, logistics or a related field; advanced degree preferred (MBA a plus)
Minimum of 5-7 years Supply Chain Management experience
Strong SAP and data analytical skills
Experience with US Government, Department of Defense contracts and United States Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)/ Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
