As Supply Chain Manager in a well-established chemical manufacturing business, you ll have the autonomy to lead, improve, and manage everything from raw materials and transport to supplier relationships and compliance. Why this role? You ll be at the centre of UK operations, overseeing logistics, stock management, and supplier performance. You'll manage a dedicated team, and work cross-functionally to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
What you'll be doing - Leading all site logistics operations, from packaging to transport and storage
- Managing and developing a small team, fostering growth and high performance
- Driving improvement across S&OP and logistics processes to benchmark standards
- Partnering with third-party logistics providers, ensuring legal and performance compliance
- Managing raw materials and finished goods across multiple locations
- Owning and optimising a £2 million logistics budget
- Leading logistics risk management and emergency response planning
What you ll bring - Minimum 3 years experience leading logistics operations, ideally in a chemical or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of DGSA and SHE compliance
- Confident line management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to lead change and continuous improvement initiatives
- SAP experience and a data-driven mindset
