Paragon is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for establishing and maintaining quality assurance controls in all activities, procedures, inspections, audits, reports, and documentation. Additionally, interface with clients and suppliers as well as internal departments with respect to quality activities.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain a documented nuclear quality assurance program.
- Interface with clients and suppliers on quality assurance/control issues and requirements in a professional and respectful manner.
- Direct or perform quality related training as applicable.
- Perform supplier evaluations/audits in accordance with industry regulations and standards.
- Perform on-site and off-site surveillances to ensure that Paragon quality assurance program requirements are met.
- Evaluate quality and technical activities to ensure that Paragon Quality Assurance Program requirements are met.
- Evaluate quality problems and evaluate the acceptability of proposed resolution actions.
- Must be able to obtain auditor certification under our program within the first 6 months of employment with Paragon.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality assurance or control role as a lead or senior level auditor. At least one year working experience with a nuclear quality assurance program is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of ISO-9000 and/or AS9100 quality assurance program codes and standards.
- Working knowledge of ASME NQA-1 (or N45.2) is strongly preferred.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to provide feedback to clients or suppliers in a professional and respectful manner.
- Must be capable of determining the acceptability of documented and implemented quality assurance/control program.
- Must be willing to travel to client or supplier locations based on business demands and needs.
- Must be capable of reviewing client purchase order requirements and to determine and document audit plan requirements.
