The Company
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer within a globally recognised World Class manufacturer.
They have both UK and international sites and pride themselves on their engineering innovation and their desire to manufacture the best products.
Continued team growth and development has created the need for the Supplier Quality Engineer to manage Supplier relationships and ensure consistent delivery of parts to Operations at the required highest standards.
The Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager the Supplier Quality Engineer will have a hands-on approach in monitoring, controlling and improving Supplier quality where necessary.
The Supplier Quality Engineer responsibilities will also include:
- Supplier Auditing
- PPAP submissions and validations
- 8D investigation & resolution
- Engaging with other key internal functions
- Root Cause Analysis
- Project Delivery
- Continuous Improvement initiatives
The Candidate
I am looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer with at least 5years experience that includes Machining / Casting / Forging, (ideally) gained in either an Automotive or Aerospace OEM, 1st Tier or Engineering environment. Experience of Lean or Six Sigma is definitely advantageous.
You will have a proven track record of dealing with international quality standards such as:
- IATF 16949
- APQP
- PPAP
- ISO 9001
- FMEA or PFMEA
You will also be prepared to travel internationally.
