Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BETHESDA of NSA BETHESDA SECURITY DETACHMENT. Help Duties You will manage the Visitor Control Center and supervise all personnel in the Access Control Division. You will perform administrative and human resources management functions relative to the staff supervised. You will implement prescribed policies and develop procedures and plans of action to accomplish the work within the assigned budget and resource allocation. You will develop policies and procedures that meet operational and mission requirements of the Access Control Program. You will manage conducting of background checks, issuance of passes/identification cards and compilation of guest lists. Help Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Analyze unclassified, sensitive, and critical information that could adversely affect the mission if revealed to those without a need to know. 2) Advise on the protection of unclassified, sensitive, and critical information. 3) Applies personnel security principles and methods to process initial investigations, clearances, periodic re-investigations, and clearance upgrades/downgrades, suspension, revocations, terminations, reinstatements and to complete the adjudication, and appeals processes. 4) Evaluates internal and external security clearance requests and ensures applicant's actions are consistent with regulatory requirements. 5) Analyzes and reports on clearance and appeals findings to senior security officials and makes appropriate notifications.
