JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Assists management in monitoring the operations and productivity of assigned department(s). Supervises staff, coordinates activities with leadership and provides support for the efficient and effective delivery of quality services. Performs the duties of Pharmacist as prescribed by state and federal statues as well as Samaritan Health Services policies. Prepares and dispenses medication; assesses clinical status of patients (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics). Provides drug information to the medical team. Educates patients.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Samaritan Pharmacy-Lincoln City is a community pharmacy located next to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital. The pharmacy is open to any member of the public. The primary role of this pharmacy is to dispense community patient prescriptions. They also offer immunizations, medication management services, and discharge medications to bedside. The pharmacy is staffed by experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who are dedicated to patient care.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required.
One (1) of the following required:
Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited residency in pharmacy practice.
One (1) year pharmacist experience.
Leadership experience preferred.
Healthcare Provider Level BLS required within three (3) months of hire.
Successful completion of Pharmacist Immunization Certification required within one (1) year of hire.
All job offers are contingent upon the candidate passing a pre-employment/post offer drug screen.

Quality Control - Knowledge of analysis, tests and inspections of products, services, or processes. Ability to evaluate quality or performance.
Safety and Security - Knowledge of safety and security practices and procedures. Ability to instruct the public in and promote safe and secure operations.
Social Perceptiveness - Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
Systems Analysis/ Evaluation - Knowledge of how a system works and how changes will affect outcomes. Ability to identify measures of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance to meet certain goals.
