Supervisor of Engineering

Our client, a global manufacturer of machines for the pulp and paper industry, is seeking a Supervisor of Engineering to join their team. As a Supervisor of Engineering, will manage, lead and coach the engineering team to achieve local site and regional objectives and goals.
This is a great opportunity to join a great, employee-centric organization where you will work closely with the Engineering Manager to lead the engineering department and receive training/mentorship to take over leading the engineering department.

Key Responsibilities
•   Motivate and lead direct reports, communicate targets, goals, and expectations to meet site strategy and budget
•   Provide technical recommendations and support, both to internal and external customers
•   Investigate problems and lead in facilitating recommendations for improvements to ensure the highest level of quality throughout product offerings and services provided.
•   Develop and coach team by increasing their roll knowledge, project management, and enhance skill set
•   Manage shop jobs with an emphasis on customer service, inside sales, and revenue generation. (10 to 30 open jobs). Requirements
•   Engineering Degree
•   A combination of at least 5 years of related experience in the following industries: Paper & Pulp, Engineering, Service, and/or Machine Shop.
•   Proven leader with previous experience of managing others
•   Data analysis background with high proficiency in excel and experience working with databases.
•   Lean Management, Six Sigma and/or Operational Excellence training preferred
