Under the general supervision of the Senior Admin Director of Cardiology, the Supervisor of Cardiovascular Sonography will be responsible for assisting the Cardiology Manager in monitoring the day-to-day operations of the Cardiology, Cardiac Sonography, and Cardiovascular Diagnostic Outpatient Center (CDOC). The Supervisor of Cardiac Sonography will resolve employee concerns an provide input to the Cardiology Manager regarding employees compliance with job duties and scheduling.
The Supervisor of Cardiology Sonographer will monitor the quality of the department s work product, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), expenses staying within budget guidelines, good working relationship with physicians while complying with Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The Supervisor of Cardiac Sonography maintains proficiency, job knowledge, and licensees/ registration/certification as required in non-invasive dagnostic cardiac procedures.
The Supervisor of Cardiovascular Sonography will orient new while monitoring employees performance for compliance with TJC, HIPAA, specific job duties, and Corporate Compliance. The Supervisor of Cardiology Sonographer will attend continuing education, provide input for new/revised department Policies and Procedures, and assist Cardiology Manager with Peer Review for Cardiology Physicians.
The ideal candidate for Supervisor of Cardiovascular Sonography should have Bachelor s Degree preferred with one of the following certifications required ; Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) / Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS); Registered Vascular Tech (RVT). At least two (2) years of experience performing EKG s, Holter Monitors and Treadmills and/or Cardiac Sonography or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience required.
