Supervisor
Location: Friston, Suffolk
Pay Rate: £23 - £30 ph PAYE/ PAYE UMBRELLA/ CIS UMBRELLA
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate civil construction works including groundworks, drainage, concrete structures, ducting, and reinstatement.

Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.

Liaise with the Site Manager and Project Manager to ensure efficient project delivery.

Oversee the use of plant and materials, checking delivery notes and stock levels.

Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, progress reports, and material usage.

Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are carried out to design specifications.
-
Manage site permits and ensure all necessary documentation is in place.

Address site issues or delays proactively and escalate when necessary.
Requirements:
Essential:
-
Proven experience in supervising civil engineering works.
-
Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, utilities, or highways (depending on sector).
-
SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
-
CSCS card (Gold or Black preferred).
-
First Aid at Work.
-
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
-
Good communication and leadership skills.

Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
-
NRSWA Supervisor (for street works/utilities projects).

Temporary Works Supervisor qualification.
-
Experience with GPS and setting out equipment.
-
NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Construction Site Supervision (or equivalent).
