GENERAL PURPOSE: The Supervisor, New Store Openings and Operations supervises teams and projects that support the opening of new stores for Ross and dd's, as well as store relocations, natural disaster repairs, and going out of business programs. They supervise multiple fixture, equipment, and signage installations each quarter. They collaborate with store and field leadership, Construction, IT, Finance, Fixture Purchasing, Store Planning and other partners to supervise operational support, drive the execution of business processes, and own the accuracy of project timelines, process documentation, manuals and training materials. They supervise the execution of projects per approved plans, escalate and drive resolution of issues, and own best practices to minimize shortages and go-backs and provide a high level of service to stores. The base salary range for this role is $75,700 - $113,650. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Project Planning
• Supervises a team of project leads and project coordinators, in the planning of new stores, store relocations, natural disaster repairs, and going out of business programs.
• Owns project timelines and conformance to budgets, including creation of project plans, communication to key stakeholders, and optimization of operational procedures.
• Reviews installer bids through cost and quality lenses and recommends installer project allocations for leadership approval.
• Owns pre-opening preparations, including reviewing fixture plans and ensuring that all fixtures have been ordered. Drives creation and publication of installation schedule.
• Validates satisfactory mitigation of site conditions and conformance to any municipal constraints on deliveries. Escalates and resolves any concerns with the logistics vendor to ensure on-time delivery of fixtures, equipment and signage.
• Owns the accuracy and completeness of kickoff meetings with stores, installers, and project partners. Ensures that any action items recapped are satisfactorily addressed. Project Execution
• Supervises a team of project leads and project coordinators, in the execution of new stores, store relocations, natural disaster repairs, and going out of business programs. Serves field leaders and store managers, as primary point of contact for communication, project management, and issue escalation and resolution.
• Supervises and ensures satisfactory installation of fixtures, equipment, and signage for multiple waves of stores. Drives process excellence for daily store calls, daily progress reports, and daily video calls with installers, to ensure execution is to standard, accurate and high quality.
• Proactively identifies and escalates potential risks to project timeline and budget; and leads resolution plans to get project back on track. Signs off on daily project status reports to management including issue resolution status.
• Partners with Construction, Facilities, Loss Prevention, and other groups executing scope of work in the same stores, to maximize cross-functional coordination and efficiency.
• Owns accurate tracking of project costs within budget and provides frequent updates to finance partners and management. Proactively identifies and mitigates potential cost variances, and reviews approved change orders to address shortage and damage.
• Owns the project punchlist to ensure effective and timely closeout. Reviews the final project recap, including photo validation, with management, to support documentation of satisfactory project completion. COMPETENCIES:

• BA/BS degree required in business or related field
• 4-6 years of experience
• Strong organizational skills, project management skills, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration with business partners and stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of store operations, fixtures, and installation processes
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
• Advanced proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet
• High level comfort working in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments
• Outstanding work ethic; displays a high sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly and efficiently PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA: This role requires regular in-office presence, including attending in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
