The Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so were committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

As a FP&A Supervisor, you will be responsible for the Division's worldwide Plan, LBE, and OEM processes for the P&L. Coordinates with CFP&A and Medical Device Divisional FP&A teams to maintain a rolling calendar with divisional finance requirements/deadlines. Enhance and create analytics to enhance understanding of P&L submissions and help ensure forecast accuracy. Coordinate with DHQ analysts and Sr FP&A Manager to maintain and create meaningful and insightful presentation decks. Supervise a motivated Financial Analyst and work with analyst(s) to ensure quality deliverables. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What Youll Do
  • Coordination of Divisional Plan, LBE, Confirm, and OEM financial planning processes including creation and distribution of templates, instructions and guidelines for all ADC FP&A groups worldwide. This requires extensive interface and coordination within the Division interacting directly with key financial managers.
  • Ensures completeness and accuracy of the financial submissions.
  • Will supervise one direct report and will strive to ensure report has tools necessary to help provide insightful inputs to the DHQ team
  • Working with ADC FP&A teams, prepare/format presentations of financial materials for meetings with the Division and Corporate senior leadership.
  • Interpret financial results and recommend options based upon analysis of data and information.
  • Contributes to the strategic planning process by providing baseline information and financial support to non-financial managers.
  • Establishes partnerships within the finance business units: Commercial, RnD and Operations organizations to acquire information.
  • Understand other viewpoints cultivating open and honest relationships while promoting common goals.
  • Responds to ad hoc financial requests.
  • Key contributor to the financial planning processes.
  • Identify meaningful analytics that can be gleaned from LBE submissions that can be presented to Financial leadership to help ensure forecast accuracy and identify areas for potential improvement within the P&L.
  • Assist in setting financial/nonfinancial goals for the DHQ team on an annual basis, and work with team to achieve them.
  • Operates with a significant amount of autonomy, works independently, and proactively navigates the division network to accomplish goals/tasks; but is also interested in working with other DHQ team members to ensure team success
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOULL BRING

Required:
  • Bachelors Degree (preferably in finance or accounting), or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Financial experience demonstrating a progressive level of responsibility.
Preferred:
  • Masters Degree or CPA desired.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization

The base pay for this position is $98,000.00 $196,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
