Works under direction of manager to oversee the electronic programs (badging and access) and functions for the Electronic Security division of University Police.

  • 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in an electronic security/business environment, including at least

    2 years of customer service experience
JOB DUTIES
  • Coordinates and supervises Electronic Security Assistants, including oversight of day-to-day operations of the University Police operated badge stations. Responsible for training new Electronic Security Assistants. Ensures timely and efficient operations to accomplish objectives and that all applicable laws, governmental guidelines, and university and departmental policies are adhered to.
  • Oversees and manages complex systems and programs, including the badge access request ticket system, access approver database, resource mailbox and phone distribution group; Responsible for ensuring data accuracy and currency, and recommends updates and enhancements as needed.
  • Reviews and oversees internal controls of ID badge applications. Maintain contractor/visitor badge records and ensures that record retention schedules are adhered to; Provide oversight of daily reconciliation reports of badge replacement receipts for accounting purposes. Provides professional support on special projects such as security audits pertaining to cardholder badge access. Runs various system reports and analyzes data.
  • Responsible for ensuring that scheduled special functions and activities such as campus events, meetings, and seminars requesting electronic door unlocks is appropriately programmed for accessibility for attending parties including but not limited to VIP's, donors, and campus affiliates.
  • Responsible for access level/group development, deployment, and maintenance; Works with campus departments to design and build new access levels and groups for new construction and renovation projects. Coordinates with department heads and campus leadership to determine building hours of access for new construction and renovation projects.
  • Partners with the Supervisor Electronic Security on new constructions projects and renovations to ensure appropriate time zones and levels of access are configured and administered.
  • Addresses complex badge access issues and triages accordingly.
  • Responsible for managing budgets pertaining to badge related supplies and equipment. Ensures badge stations are operational, adequately supplied and submits orders for supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Provides technical support to the HR Service Center badge stations as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
