Job Summary:

One of our top clients is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervising Family Law Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal expertise in all aspects of family law, proven leadership abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for mentoring and developing other attorneys. Responsibilities:


  • Manage and supervise a team of associate attorneys and paralegals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee and manage complex family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, property division, relocation, and domestic violence matters.
  • Independently handle a caseload of complex family law cases, from initial consultation through settlement or trial.
  • Develop and implement case strategies, conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current Washington State family law statutes, rules of procedure, and relevant case law.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and firm policies.
  • Contribute to the firm's training and professional development initiatives.
  • Participate in firm management meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and the legal community.
  • Potentially participate in business development activities.

Qualifications:


  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Washington State Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing family law in Washington State.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring attorneys and/or legal staff.
  • Proven track record of successfully handling complex family law cases.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation, mediation, and litigation skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A commitment to ethical and professional conduct.
