Job Description

Abramson Labor Group is seeking a highly motivated, well-qualified Supervising Attorney to join our Workers' Compensation team. The Supervising Attorney will report directly to the Managing Partner and are supported substantively and administratively by a large team of paralegals and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting the Managing Partner in duties including:
Conducting client educational webinars
Preparing for bulk settlement conferences
Evaluating case value
Giving guidance on complex cases
Accountability for meeting Workers' Compensation department metrics
Holding regular meetings with current associates
Mentorship:
Guiding and mentoring senior attorneys into their role
Case Re-Evaluations:
Authorizing settlement below initial floor
Advising on increased demand when live negotiations are required
Responding to client inquiries that require attorney negations and moving matters towards resolution
Providing direction and guidance to non-attorneys as needed
Trial participation as needed
Attending hearings when an attorney's presence is needed
Assting associates with challenging client interactions
Team Player:
Bringing positivity to the workplace and leading non-attorneys by example
Participation in team events during work and after work hours
Providing feedback to management to ensure ALG performs the best it can for our clients
Other duties as assigned by managing partner and/or operations manager

Qualifications

Comfortable with fast-paced work environments
12+ Years of Workers' Compensation experience required
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Career mix of Applicant and Defense Workers' Compensation experience (preferred)
Candidates must be in good standing with the California State Bar
