Job Description:
Our construction client seeks an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead and oversee commercial construction projects from start to finish. This role involves managing field operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate job site logistics, and manage site operations.
- Lead and enforce safety protocols, ensuring an injury-free work environment.
- Oversee subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and resource management.
- Mentor and develop field staff, including assistant superintendents and foremen.
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison with owners, architects, and design teams.
- Manage multiple large-scale projects while ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers to manage budgets, labor, materials, and equipment.
- Review plans and specifications, resolving discrepancies and ensuring compliance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Strong background in managing large-scale projects in industries such as technology, healthcare, or corporate office construction.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to lead teams, coordinate with multiple trades, and deliver projects successfully.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools.
