About the Role
As a Project Superintendent, youll be the boots-on-the-ground leader, managing all on-site operations of commercial construction projects valued at $5M and above. Youll partner closely with Project Managers and subcontractors to ensure quality control, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction every step of the way.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily on-site operations from project kickoff to closeout.
- Coordinate crews, trades, and subcontractors to meet schedules and milestones.
- Maintain safety standards, enforce compliance, and respond to jobsite emergencies.
- Identify design challenges and suggest practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Support the Project Manager with RFIs, change orders, and schedule updates.
- Drive productivity, resolve conflicts, and ensure work aligns with plans and specs.
- Supervise field staff including Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, and Engineers.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of commercial construction experience, including 5 years in field leadership.
- Proven track record managing large-scale ($5M+) commercial construction projects.
- Deep knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
- Proficiency in tools like Procore, P6 Scheduling, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and team-building skills.
- Ability to travel within the Southeast but be based in middle Tennessee.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Regular working hours are MondayFriday, 6:30 a.m. 3:00 p.m., with weekend hours to meet project schedules and demands. Emergency on-call as needed.
- Active, physically demanding role with both indoor and outdoor conditions.
