Description

The Superintendent - Commercial Construction - Charlotte will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing project execution and leading and coordinating all aspects of construction projects from initiation through to completion while ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with budgetary constraints in a collaborative environment
  • Focusing on team leadership and development by mentoring and guiding team members while setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Conducting regular meetings to assess project progress and ensuring compliance with safety, technical, and legal standards while maintaining budget alignment
  • Utilizing strategic problem-solving skills to identify challenges and implement effective solutions that enhance project value
  • Working closely with the Project Management team to facilitate project development and execution
  • Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that all resources are effectively managed and aligned with project goals
  • Tracking daily reports and maintaining comprehensive project documentation to ensure all phases of the project are well-documented

Profile

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a solid background in construction management with a strong focus on commercial and industrial projects. Exceptional communication skills and a professional demeanor are crucial for fostering effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

The ideal Superintendent - Commercial Construction - Charlotte will have the following qualifications:

  • Experience of at least 4 years of combined field experience in commercial and industrial construction. This should include exposure to projects valued between $10M and $20M
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of scheduling, estimating, and cost principles along with basic familiarity with project management software such as ProCore or MS Project is advantageous
  • A strong understanding of industry best practices, processes, and standards along with their impact on project outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members
  • A business-oriented approach in all professional interactions that showcases a commitment to quality and excellence
