Job Details

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction of commercial and multi-family projects. This is a permanent position with excellent growth opportunities for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Management: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of commercial and multi-family construction projects from start to finish.
2. Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of construction professionals, including subcontractors and vendors, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
3. Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues that may arise.
4. Safety Compliance: Ensure all construction sites adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, creating a safe working environment for all team members.
5. Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring they are kept within the allocated budget and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
6. Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
7. Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any construction-related issues, making sound decisions that align with project objectives.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and other relevant paperwork.
9. Knowledge of Podium Construction: Possess expertise in podium construction techniques and methodologies, ensuring seamless integration into multi-family projects.
10. Healthcare Construction: Familiarity with healthcare construction practices, including infection control measures and compliance with industry-specific regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, specifically in commercial and multi-family projects.
2. Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, ensuring project success and maintaining a positive work environment.
3. Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of commercial and multi-family construction processes, including podium construction and healthcare construction practices.
4. Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.
5. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
6. Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of the construction process.
7. Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Safety Conscious: A strong commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of safety regulations and guidelines in the construction industry.
9. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
