Description Assist in the organization, coordination and instruction of a summer sports programs for adults and youth.
Essential DutiesESSENTIAL DUTIES - Regular attendance is required to perform the duties of this position.
- Collaborates in the planning and implementation of sport specific class as assigned.
- Actively participate in instruction during program operational hours.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of sport specific plans created by Sport Supervisor.
- Provide leadership and direction to program participants. Assists with daily check in as well as with the constant supervision of program participants.
- Promote interest and provides information regarding sports classes to the general public.
- Perform custodial work as needed to maintain sanitary standards and upkeep of facility.
- Assist in administering sports tournaments as assigned
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Any combination of education and knowledge equivalent to a high school background.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
(A) Working knowledge of any one of the sports programs offer. (i.e. basketball, volleyball, tennis, football and weight training)
(B) Ability to interact and supervise the participation of patrons.
(C) Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, participants, and the general public.
(D) Ability to follow written and oral instructions; Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
(E) Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
