Vaxcyte's Summer Internship program offers students with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience that complements their college curriculum with relevant hands-on work that can shape their future career pathing and interests.

Essential Functions:

As an Environmental Health & Safety Intern for Vaxcyte, you will be responsible for conducting office and laboratory inspections aimed at ensuring compliance. The Intern will learn the fundamentals of EH&S federal, state, and local regulations. In addition, the Intern will:

    Capture and report metrics utilizing new software that has been recently implemented. At the conclusion of the project, a report/presentation will be created, showing compliance improvement trends throughout the office and lab spaces.

The Intern will learn and practice:

    An understanding of the fundamentals of EH&S programs and regulatory compliance associated with each program. EH&S compliance regulations.
Requirements:
    Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student with at least 1 year at university completed) with a focus on Environmental Science or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and work quality. Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork. Enthusiastic - shows curiosity and is eager to learn. Dedicated.
Reports to: Associate Director, Environmental Health & Safety Location: San Carlos, CA Compensation: The compensation package will be competitive and includes comprehensive benefits and an equity component. Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is $23-$26 per hour for undergraduate students. Actual pay will be determined based on year of university/college completed. The Summer Internship position will not be eligible for benefits. Relocation and housing stipend will not be offered.
