Program Overview About The Role Peraton is seeking a dynamic, self-starting Summer 2025 Systems Engineering Intern to support the design, development and test of wireless communication and signal processing projects on-site in our Herndon, VA location. Responsibilities The ideal and selected candidate will: Develop concepts of operation.
Conduct requirements analysis.
Develop verification plans.
Develop and exercise system performance models.
Support major program reviews.
Integrate system components and conduct system tests.
Plan and execute test events.
Work within a team to accomplish customer deployment goals
Qualifications Required Qualifications: HS Diploma and some advanced level training. US Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
Candidates must be working toward a Bachelor's degree in Radio Frequency, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Science or related Engineering field and have 0-2 years of relative experience.
Qualified candidates are flexible and willing to develop skills in the following areas: Radio Frequency Communications, Signal Processing, and System Analysis.
Strong math skills and an understanding of RF communication theory.Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with mechanical design and custom manufacturing.
Experience with 3D printing capability.
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD).
Basic understanding of signal processing for complex RF waveforms.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. 3.0 and above GPA.
Previous experience through coursework and prior internships.
An already active/existing TS/SCI security clearance. A team-first mentality that supports a wide range of technical projects and tasks.
