Internship Overview:
Abrams is seeking an enthusiastic book lover with a passion for marketing to join the Integrated Marketing team as a Summer Intern. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the marketing field, working with both Adult and Children's publishing while learning how to build innovative sales-driving campaigns.
The Integrated Marketing team is responsible for setting the strategy for marketing campaigns across Abrams' Adult and Children's lists. The team has additional oversight of advertising, retail marketing, and promotions, focusing on ROI analysis. Integrated Marketing works closely with other marketing teams to ensure that campaign promotions are coordinated, focused, and ultimately, sales-driving.
As an Integrated Marketing Intern, you will contribute creatively and administratively to a wide variety of projects across these key areas. You will gain exposure to all aspects of the marketing process, from copywriting to campaign research, while also assisting in evaluating ROI on marketing campaigns with a specific focus on advertising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Copywriting and assisting with creating marketing materials.
- Participating in brainstorming sessions and offering creative input.
- Conducting audience and campaign research to inform strategies.
- Executing mailings and supporting campaign logistics.
- Updating and maintaining departmental organizational documents.
- Assisting in evaluating the ROI of marketing campaigns, with a particular focus on advertising.
- Learning to maximize consumer engagement to drive conversions.
Qualifications: - Strong interest in pursuing a career in publishing, particularly in marketing, with a passion for books.
- A balance of creativity and analytical skills, with an interest in connecting directly with consumers.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Mac OS and MS Office Suite, with a strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Internship Details: - Duration: May 27th - August 15th (Summer 2025)
- Compensation: For credit only; must be enrolled in a program offering internship credit.
Hybrid Schedule: Primarily in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
