REQUIREMENTS: Background/fingerprinting check and TB test required.

ANTICIPATED DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: As needed throughout the school year. This is a casual/seasonal position during the 10-month school year.

SUMMARY:

• Provide back up support for teachers who are absent.
• Implement lesson plans and learning objectives set by teachers and provide the monitoring of students, classroom management, and facilitation of classroom activities.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED
• Must be 20 years of age.
• Satisfactory Child Protection Registry.
• Mantoux skin test/PPD documentation.
• Cooperative Attitude.
• Good oral and written communication and the ability to present information effectively
• The State of Delaware requires all public school employees to undergo a criminal background check (state and federal) to determine suitability for employment
• Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory criminal background check, which is the responsibility of the employee.
• The State of Delaware requires new employees to be paid by direct deposit and to be part of a lag payroll system as conditions of employment

SALARY: As per State guidelines through 12/31/2024, New rate structure effective 1/1/2025

• Class A: Licensed/Certified Teacher -$158/full day
• Class B: Bachelor's/Associates Degree-$126/full day
• Class C: High School diploma or GED-$100/full day
