Position Title: SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL NURSE Brief Description: Implement best nursing practices in order to advance the health, wellness, and academic success of all children. Provide nursing services in all District Health Offices on an "as needed basis". Special requirements: Eligibility for a license issued by the State of New York to practice as a Registered Nurse. Possession of the license at the time of appointment. Desire and capability to work with children from 3 years old to 21 years old; Ability to work independently; make critical medical/clinical decisions (within bounds of nursing license); ability to understand and interpret complex written and verbal instructions; meticulous attention to detail; impeccable professional credentials; exceptional level of professionalism and positive attitude.
