Reports To: Director of Food Services and building Cafeteria Manager
Position Goal: To provide well prepared and nutritious meals in support of the students and staff of Danville Community Schools
Performance ResponsibilitiesSupervision of Programs: - Maintains positive attitude toward all students and staff.
- Prepares or assists in the preparation of a variety of foods, following standardized recipes and menus, price schedules, and portion controls in accordance with Department work production standards.
- Sets up food serving lines and/or steam tables and serves meals, meal components and beverages.
- Stores food and supplies as directed; assists in taking inventories.
- Accepts and counts money, tickets, or tokens for foods and beverages served; records transactions; maintains accountability of sales.
- Washes, sanitizes, and stores dishes and utensils; scrubs and sanitizes counters, tables, mops floors and disposes of wastes properly.
- Operates and cleans all kitchen equipment.
- Keeps work area clean.
- Follows safety and sanitation rules at all times when handling food and using equipment.
- Adheres to safety regulations/guidelines
