Substitute Direct Support Professional (DSP) today.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide
on-call, as-needed support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our CILA (Community Integrated Living Arrangement) homes. This is an essential role that offers
flexibility while still making a meaningful impact - with the requirement that substitutes commit to
working a minimum of two full shifts per month.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide person-centered support in daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
- Assist individuals in accessing and participating in community activities including employment, recreation, and social events.
- Safely transport individuals using a company-provided vehicle to appointments, work, or errands.
- Promote independence and personal development through skill-building activities.
- Follow and implement individualized support plans and goals.
- Document care activities and report changes in behavior, health, or overall condition.
- Ensure the health, safety, and dignity of individuals in your care, following all emergency and safety protocols.
- Participate in team meetings and training, as required.
- Serve as a positive representative of Aspire in the community.
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements: - High school diploma or GED
- Must be DSP certified
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record for the past 5 years.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability and willingness to work at least two full shifts per month.
- Ability to pass all required criminal background checks.
- Must present original I-9 documentation in person.
- Technological proficiency to complete documentation using computers or mobile devices.
- Compassionate, dependable, and strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
