Summary

This position is designed to provide administrative support to departments within the city when there are position vacancies, leave of absences, and special projects, on an as needed basis. The candidates must be able to provide front line customer service support and provide administrative support such as filing, order and inventory office supplies, copying, faxing, and email correspondence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position requires an applicant with phone skills to meet high call volume. Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft office software. Excellent verbal, written, math, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Position requires self-motivation, good problem solving skills, and positive attitude in assisting citizens and staff. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, complete tasks accurately and consistently, and work closely with others in a team environment. Reliability, flexibility and good attendance are a must. Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm net and passing scores for skills testing on filing, basic excel and customer service.
Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
