Position: Dedicated and Motivated AODS Counselor (Telehealth) Location: Vista (Telehealth) Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time About Us: We are a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward recovery and wellness. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Alcohol and Other Drug Services (AODS) Counselor to join our team and provide compassionate, evidence-based care through telehealth services. Position Overview: The AODS Counselor will provide telehealth counseling services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. This role requires a professional with empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage clients remotely in a supportive and ethical manner. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling sessions via telehealth in our offfice platforms. Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with best practices. Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and relapse prevention strategies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency, state, and federal guidelines. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic and coordinated care. Provide psychoeducation, support, and referrals as needed to assist clients in accessing additional resources. Comply with ethical and legal standards for client care, privacy, and telehealth delivery. Qualifications: Certified or licensed AODS Counselor (CADC, CATC, LAADC, or equivalent). Minimum of 1 year of experience in substance use disorder counseling (telehealth experience preferred). Strong knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and treatment approaches. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport via telehealth. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage caseload and documentation remotely.
