Subject Matter Expert

Overview SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist SOSi with capture and proposal efforts to support facility operations and maintenance (O&M) and life support services (LSS) business opportunities in the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region. The SME may serve in some capacity on any resulting contract award. The SME shall assist a SOSi team comprised of business development (BD) and operations in capture and proposal activities to prepare for and respond to select government solicitations. Formal solicitations for the contract opportunities are expected to be released in the next quarter. Essential Job Duties Provide technical, operational, and regional expertise. Facilitate introductions to prospective clients and industry partners. Participate in client and industry meetings, as appropriate. Provide characterization and understanding of the O&M/LSS sites, their operations, governing policies, tenant organizations, contractor network, and client organizations and their challenges. Provide competitive intelligence, as defined by the SOSi team. Assist in the development of management, technical, and quality approaches. Assist in the development of teaming and pricing strategies. Assist in development of basis of estimates (BOE) and cost build up. Work with graphic artists to develop conceptual images, standard process flowcharts, diagrams, and other graphics needed to communicate technical, management, and quality approaches. Assist in proposal writing and create customer-focused, compliant written proposal sections. Provide proofreading support and perform copy and content editing for assigned proposal sections. Assist coordination of team travel to the locations and coordinate facility access, as appropriate. Perform other work as directed. Minimum Requirements Possess a valid U.S. Secret clearance. Interim clearance during the investigation period leading to a final, adjudicated clearance, is acceptable. Bachelor's degree plus 20 years of senior management responsibility with client and/or contractor focused on large-scale operations and maintenance. Retired senior military officer with OCONUS Theater-level experience. Able to travel to operational Theater. Able to travel to Reston VA in support of proposal development. Preferred Qualifications Senior service college military education. Previous executive-level responsibility for operations and management of U.S. military base(s) in the MENA region. Work Environment Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Ability to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
