Please note: this role is based in Carol Stream, IL with a hybrid work environment of 3 days in office

Subcontractor Sourcing/Procurement Specialist
Pay Range: $24.00 - $30.00/hour

Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.

Job Description

Sourcing and Selection:
Identify and engage potential subcontractors, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts. Source construction subcontractors for generator and cell tower installation across the country. Recruit construction crews from industry associations, referrals, online directories, local trade shows, social media, construction supplier networks and local business directories
Build relationships with subcontractors
Contract Management:
Develop and administer contracts
Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor contracts
Secure needed contract data including proof of contractor LLC, liability and vehicle Insurance, tools, tower climbing and CPR certificates and more
Prepare contract documents and resolve discrepancies
Compliance:
Ensure subcontractors adhere to company policies, regulations, and legal requirements
Manage tracking of recertification documents
Maintain compliance for all required documentation; proactively communicate with contractors to ensure documents are current and copies filed
Onboarding:
Working with HR, Accounting and Construction Directors to coordinate onboarding of subcontractor construction crews
Requirements

Industry Experience is a PLUS but not required: telecommunications, cell towers, wireless
Highly proficient in creating complex spreadsheets in Excel utilizing advanced features (ex. pivot tables)
1+ years of procurement experience in the telecom industry or similar preferred
1+ years of experience managing projects involving sourcing people and tracking many data points (Please note: must have some type of procurement expertise to be considered)
Must have strong computer knowledge with the use of various software programs including MS Office and Outlook
General knowledge of procurement compliance and regulations
Ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors to secure favorable terms
Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions.
Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Ability to handle a high volume of work with changing priorities.
Project management skills
Great organizational skills are extremely important
