Job Summary
  • Students will assist with Help Desk operations, by assisting staff to deploy and maintain university computer equipment.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
  • Setting up equipment in various on-campus locations.
  • Installing software and basic computer troubleshooting.
  • Assisting students and faculty with computer operation.
  • Cleaning equipment and changing printer toner cartridges.
  • Transporting equipment throughout campus.
  • Recording and maintaining inventory records.
  • Answering calls at the Help Desk.
  • Entering tickets in the Help Desk system.
  • Assisting the Telecommunications team with wiring or other projects.
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
  • Students must be able to carry monitors, computers, printers, and other equipment for on-campus transport. Up to 50 lbs.
  • Computer experience recommended, will train for all job functions.
Work Environment
  • Office position with some equipment transportation required. Hours are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am-7:00pm (During Fall/Spring Semester) and 8:30am-4:30pm (During Summer).
