Physical Demands/Working Conditions:PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work is sedentary work which requires the person in this position to occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to students, administration, faculty, staff, and others to perform the essential functions of the position; must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.
This position frequently requires the person to operate a computer and other office equipment to perform the essential functions of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:Previous full-time work experience in a library at an institution of higher education
Required Training:Quarterly compliance training as assigned by institution
Work Hours:Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm, with one set evening shift per week, 12pm to 9pm

Job Duties (Duties Assignment Statement):Liaison for Success in College and Life (SCL) Course:
Collaborate with the SCL Coordinator on the library portion of the course
Provide feedback to the SCL Coordinator each semester, focusing on areas in which the library portion can be improved to best fit student needs
Communicate to all librarians current or changing requirements of the library portion of the SCL course
Liaison to K-12 Partnerships Division:
Provide assistance and support relevant to the library
Develop guides and/or provide training to support concurrent faculty
Maintain open communication channels with partner high school librarians
Liaison to Student Affairs:
Provide regular updates on relevant library activities and services, particularly to communicate new or changing services or processes
Disseminate relevant Student Affairs activities and services to library staff
Inter-library Loan Coordinator:
With the assistance of support staff, ensure timely and accurate processing of both lending and borrowing requests
Monitor copyright requirements and compile yearly clearance report
Compile and log relevant reports and statistics
Open Educational Resources Support:
In collaboration with the Director of Library Services, manage various projects in support of open educational resources
Assist with OER statistics, surveys, cost-savings analysis, and other reporting
Serve on the state OER committee, attending regular meetings and relevant events
Assist with other OER related projects as assigned
Assessment Support:
In collaboration with the Director of Library Services, maintain, evaluate, and administer the Library's Assessment Plan
Work with librarians to develop various surveys for students, faculty, staff, and the wider community
Use assessment data to make meaningful changes and improvements
Reference, Instruction, and Division Liaison Responsibilities:
Provide bibliographic instruction to groups, in-person and virtually.
Share in the coverage of chat, email, phone and in-person reference assistance.
Act as library liaison with assigned division and attend scheduled division meetings.
Work collaboratively with assigned division faculty and staff in the development of library resources and services that support their program needs
Maintain and evaluate a system of collection development for assigned areas.
In collaboration with other librarians and the Director of Library Services, perform regular evaluations of the collection as a whole, including needs analyses done in conjunction with departmental program reviews, and review the Library's "Collection Development Guidelines" and recommend any changes.
Use formal and informal means to communicate information about the Library to users.
Be involved in the activities of the college through service on appropriate and mutually agreed upon college committees.
Complete mutually agreed upon projects as assigned.
