Cedarville University is seeking a Housing Coordinator who will provide support to the Residence Life office in the Student Life and Christian Ministries Division. Main responsibilities include oversight of the roommate and room selection process for all students. This is a full time (2080 annual hours), non-exempt position that reports to the Associate Vice President for Student Development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
  • Firm understanding of eRezLife platform and other university related business software.
  • Initiate Daily Buzz communications including timelines and deadlines for off campus and townhouse applications and housing selection.
  • Coordinate housing selection timeline as well as how they need to select their room and roommate each academic year
  • Update the dates for housing selection as well as any relevant housing information on Cedarville University's website
  • Understand, update and communicate the Residence Hall Guidelines
  • Primary contact for all housing, roommate and room selection questions.
  • Primary contact on housing questions and responsibilities from Admissions, Physical Plant, Medical Center or Disability Services
  • Effective and timely reporting with Dean of Men and Dean of Women through housing selection timeline
  • Manage occupancy reporting including audit
  • Manage occupancy of Cedarville Apartments
  • Manage occupancy of graduate and married student housing
  • Coordinate late stay and early arrival process
  • Coordinate move-in/move-out process
  • Other duties when assigned by the AVP for Student Development
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must provide a positive example of a mature and growing relationship with Christ.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of work/experience in an office setting preferred.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff and students.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have good computer skills.
  • Experience with working in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite is preferred
  • Maintain regular business hours, and the flexibility to work various evenings and weekends as needs dictate.
REQUIRED MENTAL/PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
  • A valid driver's license (with no significant driving record issues)
  • Good listening and verbal skills
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Work is performed in an office environment
  • Periodic interactions with inclement weather due to the nature of the position
