TITLE: Student Information Technician
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: 1.0 FTE/12-month position
SALARY CLASSIFICATION: Classified
GENERAL STATEMENT of RESPONSIBILITIES: The Student Information Technician will be responsible for providing a positive working relationship with faculty, staff, parents, students, and the community at-large. Responsibilities will include maintaining a high level of confidentiality and standard of professionalism in analyzing student data and working to ensure data integrity.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES: - Ensure data accuracy by monitoring ADM data cleaning up integrity errors in student data with particular focus on enrollment, attendance, and special programs.
- Perform monthly site audits in preparation for the annual district audit.
- Facilitate weekly Teams trainings for individual departments of administrative assistants to create consistent processes across the district.
- Assist in facilitating Quarterly PLC and other special trainings for administrative assistants.
- Track student attendance to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze student FTE data to ensure accurate reporting.
- Run weekly Discipline Reports and analyze trends in the occurrences.
- Perform Accountability Updates using Synergy reports such as MEM10 and STUD79.
- Check SAIS IDs monthly and do any needed cleanup of errors.
- Create analytics information to be used by district and campus administrators for program improvement.
- Assists with compliance of federal and state programs.
- General office coverage; answers phones and greets public as needed.
- Maintains general and confidential files.
- General clerical functions (scheduling, copying, faxing, scanning, data entry, filing, etc.)
- Generates correspondance, memos, and reports as required.
- Coordinates and prepares outgoing mailings as requested.
- Provides backup for other Administrative Assistants in District Office as needed.
- Performs related duties as the position evolves in a growing district.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge in the use of standard computer programs and office machines; including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn specialized software programs specific to job tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.
- Must complete a series of secretarial tests with a high degree of proficiency.
- Must be able to work independently and problem solve.
- Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must possess excellent phone composure and etiquette.
- Must possess an ability to deal effectively with matters of confidentiality.
- Must possess strong organizational skills.
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of secretarial experience, preferably in a school setting.
OCCUPATIONAL CONDITION:Low risk - Work is routinely performed in indoor environments, including exposure to noise and being on your feet for extended periods of time. May require standing in inclement weather including summer heat.
