Position Summary:Ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of District information systems. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing information systems and databases. This position will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of District data systems.

Experience: - Experience in using computer applications, including but not limited to: PowerSchool, PowerTeacher, Enrollment Express, Google Suite (esp. Docs, Sheets), Microsoft Excel and Word, PDE's Data Warehouse Systems (PIMS, PA SecureID, Act 80, PIMS Reports v2), DRC Portal, preferred.
- Experience with working with data preferred.
- Experience with school master scheduling preferred.

Functions/Duties/Responsibilities: - Manages the District's major data systems, including, but not limited to:
- PowerSchool
- PowerTeacher
- PowerSchool Special Education
- Enrollment Express
- Level Data
- eCollect Forms
- Power Pack
- Unified Insights
- Blackboard
- Provides expertise and leadership in developing the guidelines and procedures for managing all major database systems.
- Provides consultation and assists with projects that require integrating data from the student information system and/or other database applications.
- Provides software assistance for support services, including secretaries, business/tax offices, and guidance offices, school services, etc.
- Develops and conducts training for educators and support staff on various computer applications.
- Designs templates, dashboards, standard forms, databases, spreadsheets, etc. for staff members to optimize their computer use.
- Stays current in emerging technologies, especially as related to knowledge of database systems.
- Works with Residency Officer to verify the residency of students who attend Cyber/Charter Schools or are deemed homeless/foster.
- Works with school administration on Master Scheduling through PowerSchool.
- Works with school administration and intermediate unit to upload student grades.
- Assists with Internet applications.
- Stays current in all aspects of district software applications and instructional techniques.
- Serves as a consultant to teachers, administrators, and other staff to develop skills, knowledge, and experience in effectively using the software applications available.
- Provides technical information to other departments, sites, and end users; provides training and support in properly using installed software systems; responds to questions or problems in person or on the telephone.
- Operates and maintains various equipment and software related to the management of information systems.
- Responds to user requests for assistance and malfunction correction and provide technical support.
- Researches, analyzes, and recommends new data systems software and hardware.
- Maintains records related to work performed.
- Attends meetings, training, and in-service as assigned.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Directors of Teaching, Learning, and Technology.

Work Environment:
The noise level in this environment is quiet to loud, depending on the activity in the particular part of the day.

Terms of Employment:
Salary, work year, and other terms and conditions of employment as established by contract between Whitehall-Coplay School District, Superintendent, and the Whitehall-Coplay School District Board of Directors.
