Position Announcement

Utah Valley University is seeking a student to assist the Marketing Department in the Woodbury School of Business.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Working with the Woodbury School of Business Marketing & Communications team planning and implementing communications.
• Liaise with University and College departments/programs to promote Marketing Department programs and events.
• Research, monitor, identify, create, brainstorm, edit, write, proof, working on campaigns simultaneously, sometimes under pressure.
• Flexible hours generally, with some set expectations that will be communicated in advance (i.e., in-office work on Fridays, in person at events)
• Support event planning and execution. This will include participation in meetings, assignment of duties, on-site participation at events, etc.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

• Must be a current UVU student
• Must be a declared major in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Professional Sales
• Strong preference for sophomores or juniors

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and Canva
• Basic understanding of marketing principles
• Basic understanding of UVU's mission
• Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in non-academic writing, with a strong grasp of English grammar
• Ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging content
• Ability to work effectively with others
• Ability to comfortably reach out to and work with industry professionals
