Position AnnouncementUtah Valley University is seeking a student to assist the Marketing Department in the Woodbury School of Business.
Summary of Responsibilities- Working with the Woodbury School of Business Marketing & Communications team planning and implementing communications.
- Liaise with University and College departments/programs to promote Marketing Department programs and events.
- Research, monitor, identify, create, brainstorm, edit, write, proof, working on campaigns simultaneously, sometimes under pressure.
- Flexible hours generally, with some set expectations that will be communicated in advance (i.e., in-office work on Fridays, in person at events)
- Support event planning and execution. This will include participation in meetings, assignment of duties, on-site participation at events, etc.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications- Must be a current UVU student
- Must be a declared major in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Professional Sales
- Strong preference for sophomores or juniors
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and Canva
- Basic understanding of marketing principles
- Basic understanding of UVU's mission
- Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in non-academic writing, with a strong grasp of English grammar
- Ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging content
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Ability to comfortably reach out to and work with industry professionals
