Position OverviewThis KUEST Bridge Program is a FREE four-week residential, on campus, engineering acclimation program that helps incoming first year students prepare for either Pre-Calculus or Calculus 1.Job DescriptionSummer Bridge
5% Facilitate and lead small group discussions with students.
5% Co-teach "conquer your classes" Presentation.
5% Provide engineering and campus tours.
5% Assist with lectures and study hall review sessions.
10% Plan social activities throughout the week and weekend.
5% Check-in with assigned students.
Academic Year
60% Mentor with assigned students weekly or bi-weekly.
5% Meet with IHAWKe Program Coordinator bi-weekly or as needed.

Required Qualifications
  1. Must have participated in either KUEST Bridge or KUEST ONE previously.
  2. Must be an undergraduate student in the School of Engineering.
  3. During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must:
      have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or
    1. be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or
    2. be enrolled in summer session or
    3. be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be for undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Must have participated in either KUEST Bridge or KUEST ONE previously.
  2. Must be an undergraduate student in the School of Engineering.
