Position Specific Summary

The Athletics Operations student employee position is designed to expose the highly motivated individual(s) to the many different aspects of athletic facilities and event management for a division I athletics program. The successful candidate(s) will assist in a variety of roles including Athletic events/practices/meeting set-up and tear down, greeting and welcoming guests, receiving and delivering all incoming and outgoing mail and packages, answering all calls and directing as needed, scheduling meetings, and coordinating office activities. Candidates will also assist with events on the Mount Vernon campus.

Standard Position Description

The student will be the first point of contact for visitors and customer service inquiries to the department. Tasks may include: greeting visitors, responding to in person, phone, email inquiries, provide customer service to other students, faculty, and staff; direct inquiries to the appropriate resources as needed; and assist with other office tasks. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific office needs.
