Position Summary:

Seeking an outgoing student employee with exceptional people skills to greet students, employees and guests to Ensign College.

Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part time capacity according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy. In addition to fulfilling this purpose, each employee continuously strives to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ.

Hours: 15-19 hours a week during semester and the starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit.

Specific Summary of Duties:
  • Works in a set schedule each semester (as determined upon hiring).
  • Greets students, employees and guests as they enter Ensign College through the main entrance.
  • Performs "chat" functions with visitor's to the College's website , redirecting to the appropriate source of information.
  • Answers inbound phone calls from those seeking more information about the College, redirecting to the appropriate source of information.
  • Creates outbound phone calls pertaining to the College, as directed.
  • Helps maintain Ensign College's positive image while serving as an ambassador for the Public Affairs Department and Ensign College.
  • Performs all other tasks as assigned.

  • Excellent skills working in Microsoft Word, Outlook Email, and Excel
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
  • Be flexible and adaptable with attention to detail
  • Customer service oriented
  • Currently enrolled Ensign College student taking a minimum of 6 credits in good academic standing
