Are you the go-to person for bringing people together? Love organizing events and making sure every detail is on point? The Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems is on the lookout for outgoing, reliable, and creative Student Community & Events Assistants to help energize campus life and keep our community connected for Fall 2025.

This is more than just a front desk gig - you'll be at the center of it all, from greeting new visitors to helping launch events that bring students, faculty, and staff together.

What You'll Do:
  • Be the face of Seidenberg - welcome visitors with a warm vibe and helpful info
  • Identify and develop new events, workshops, and engagement opportunities that foster student involvement
  • Serve as the go-to source for student FAQs (don't worry, we'll train you.)
  • Handle office tasks like classroom prep, and keeping things running smoothly
  • Field phone calls and take clear, detailed messages for our team
  • Get hands-on with event prep and breakdown - from setups to breakdowns
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support special projects and requests

Requirements
  • Confidence with Microsoft Office tools - Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • A strong sense of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A friendly, patient presence when interacting with students, faculty, and guests
  • Bonus points if you've got previous office or admin experience
  • Able to work independently and take initiative when things get busy
  • Detail-oriented with top-tier organizational and customer service skills
Hours will be coordinated with your class schedule and determined in collaboration with your supervisor. We understand student life, so we'll work with you to make it fit.
