Company Description
We are seeking an apprentice and an experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a background in structural steel construction and miscellaneous metals.
Duties
- Utilize Tekla software to prepare accurate cost estimates for steel construction projects
- Manage project costs and ensure adherence to budget constraints
- Collaborate with construction teams to develop comprehensive project proposals
- Conduct on-site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information.
Qualifications (apprentice 1-2 years experience)
- Some experience in steel construction estimating or held a position that allows the understanding of it.
- Strong knowledge of steel construction principles
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications (experienced)
- Proven experience in Structural Steel and or Misc. Metals (5 or more years)
- Proficiency in Tekla or other software for cost estimation
- Strong knowledge of steel construction principles
- Ability to negotiate effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to meet timelines
