Salary Range: $80K - $120K Permanent Position with Benefits. A small but rapidly expanding Akron consulting firm is seeking a structural engineer experienced in commercial and/or industrial facility design. This role is best suited for candidates holding at least 5 - 10 years of experience and will help lead the engineering team on structural engineering design for buildings. The work environment is business casual, friendly, and team oriented. Duties will include the generation of all applicable calculations, creation of structural drawings using AutoCAD & Revit. REQUIREMENTS BS Civil or Structural Engineering 5 - 10 years of experience ideally in a consulting environment PE license is required or close to obtaining their PE license. Help lead the engineering team on structural engineering design for buildings. Demonstrated ability to generate engineering calculations. Proficient with AutoCAD & Revit BIM Experience with structural analysis software such as; RISA 3D, RISA Floor, RISA Foundation and MathCAD is a plus. Working knowledge of AISC codes Familiarity with AISC 13th Manual and ACI 318-05 DUTIES Lead the engineering team on structural engineering design. Prepare engineering calculations. Assist Technicians/Drafters in the preparation of construction documents Perform analysis and design work for commercial buildings and industrial structures. Interact with clientele on occasion.
