Marine Structural Engineer - Mid-Level
Savannah, GA Full-Time Marine & Waterfront Infrastructure
An industry-leading civil and marine engineering consultancy is seeking a Marine Structural Engineer to join its team in Savannah, GA. This is a mid-level opportunity for professionals with 6-10 years' experience in the design, analysis, and delivery of marine and waterfront structures. The successful candidate will be involved in major port development initiatives and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on impactful waterfront infrastructure projects across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural analysis and design for piers, wharves, bulkheads, mooring systems, and other marine structures
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver cohesive project solutions
- Prepare calculations, specifications, technical reports, and design documentation
- Perform site inspections and assess structural conditions
- Apply industry codes and standards while utilizing leading structural analysis software
- Contribute to project delivery within timeline, budget, and quality parameters
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 6-10 years' structural experience, including at least 3 in waterfront/marine engineering
- PE license required (or ability to obtain Georgia PE within 6 months)
- Proficiency in structural software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro)
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes (e.g., AISC, ACI, API)
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills
